Global Project Manager –
Manufacturing & Footprint Optimization
Strategic role
The selected candidate will lead complex industrial projects in a multi-country environment, with responsibility for execution and constant collaboration with plants, central functions and international stakeholders.
He / she will report directly to the Chief of Manufacturing, and he / she will be responsible for leading complex programs involving the relocation and industrialization of production lines at an international level, in line with the global manufacturing footprint strategy.
Main responsibilities
- Lead global programs for the relocation of production lines to cost-competitive countries.
- Plan and manage complex multi-site projects (time, cost, quality, risks).
- Coordinate international cross-functional teams (Operations, Industrial Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, HR).
- Ensure the proper execution of dismantling, transfer, installation and production start-up phases.
- Monitor project progress and manage operational issues on site.
- Interface with Plant Managers, line suppliers and industrial partners.
- Ensure production continuity, compliance with automotive quality standards and achievement of project KPIs.
- Prepare reports and updates for management and steering committees.
Ideal profile
We are looking for a Project / Program Manager with at least 10 / 15 years of experience in the automotive sector, from Tier 1 or Tier 2 companies.
A degree in Engineering or technical disciplines is preferred, with direct experience in production line relocation, industrialization and ramp-up in multi-plant and multi-country environments.
We would like to meet candidates with strong structured project management skills, a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and automotive quality systems, and the ability to lead execution in matrix environments without direct hierarchical reporting.
Given the complexity of the role and its strongly managerial and international nature, fluency in both Italian and English is required (at least C1 level). Knowledge of German is a plus.
We are looking for an automotive professional (Tier 1 / Tier 2) ready to step into a global role, with direct responsibility for industrial execution and the transformation of the manufacturing footprint.
Location: Brescia, with frequent international travel.
