Advance Purchasing Manager

For an important multinational company we are looking for a

Plastic Strategic Buyer

(Rif 14/24)

This strategic procurement role will be part of the Supply Chain department and it will involved in important projects, with strong relationship with R&D Department.

His/her responsibilities will refer to:

• Scout and source products and services across categories including hardware, software and services
• Be able to work to deadlines and contracted KPIs - focus on quick turnaround and savings
• Be confident negotiating price, payment terms and delivery timescales to achieve targets and increase savings for our customers
• Evaluate supplier price, quality, and delivery performance
• Onboard new suppliers and maintain existing supplier records
• Understand customer needs and take prompt action on their requests
• Stay current and up to date on market changes that may affect the supply and demand of products/services
• Management of the life cycle of the product / component, identification of supply alternatives, BOM analysis, etc.
• Develop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, add value, aid business performance and work towards a strategy of continuous improvement.

Required experience and skills:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in the Pastic industry in Buyer / Project Manager roles
• Knowledge of the electric components market and plastic manufacturing processes
• Able to lead work and interact with suppliers and customers based in different countries: fluent english
•  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to influence stakeholders and negotiate with suppliers
• Analytical skills in evaluating supplier terms, comparing prices and benchmarking data
• Oriented to team working to collaborate effectively with colleagues, suppliers and customers
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP, CRM is desirable.
